Dr. Emőd Veress, LLM, Ph.D., Dr. habil., D.Sc. Lawyer, university professor, essayist. His research areas: contract law, corporate law, insolvency law, comparative history of private law, codification of private law.

He is a university professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc and in Cluj-Napoca at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania.

His most important awards: Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (2016), Bolyai Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2015, 2019), Minister of Justice’s Certificate of Recognition (2020), Academic Award (2024).
