Dr. Emőd Veress, LLM, Ph.D., dr. habil. Lawyer, university professor, research professor. He lives in Budapest, Hungary and Cluj, Romania.
He is a research professor at the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law in Budapest and head of the Private Law Department. He is a university professor in Cluj-Napoca, at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania (Romania), and a Ph.D. supervisor at the Géza Marton Doctoral School of the University of Debrecen (Hungary).
Areas of research: company law, contract law, insolvency law, comparative legal history, codification.
Awards: Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (2016), diploma of recognition from the Minister of Justice (2020).
